Our Ecosystem 2030 Goals

We believe that our positive impact on our country and planet will continue to increase every year thanks to the sustainability approach that we have integrated into our business strategies and operational performance. We will continue to work hard in accordance with this target.

We carry out our activities in accordance with the Ecosystem 2030 Goals set by Diageo on a global scale in order to help shape a more inclusive and sustainable world. We make efforts towards achieving the goal of making a positive impact on the community we live in, work, use resources and make sales by 2030. We strive to support responsible drinking, advocate for inclusion and diversity, protect natural resources, which our long-term success is based on, and pave the way for sustainability from seed to glass in every country we operate.

Responsible Drinking Target

  • To reach a total of 1 billion people by communicating the responsible drinking message.
  • To encourage change for the better by raising the awareness of 5 million people about drink-driving.

Inclusion and Diversity

  • To ensure 50% female representation in the leadership team by 2030.
  • To ensure 45% ethnic diversity in the leadership team by 2030.
  • To support projects on inclusion and diversity.
  • To measure and increase the percentage of labor of women and different representation groups from the suppliers we work with, in order to ensure improvement our principle on inclusion and diversity included in our values.
  • To provide job and service trainings to 200 thousand people as part of the “Learning for Life” program in order to increase the number of employable people.
  • To make 1.5 million people to gain competence and use this competence in the developing service industry, and to ensure resource transfer as part of Diageo Bar Academy.
  • To develop social projects on ethnic diversity and inclusion of underrepresented groups.

Preserve Water For Life

  • To increase efficient use of water by 40% in the production sites with a high level of drought and to increase efficient use of water by 30% across the company in order to reduce water consumption. 
  • To ensure that the people living in countries with a high level of drought access quality water easily. 
  • To replace all and more of the water we use in our operations by 2026. 
  • To make investments in order to provide the people living in the territories, where our production plants are located, with 100% access to clean water, health-care services and hygiene.

Sustainability from Seed to Glass: Transition to a low carbon footprint

  • To switch to zero carbon emissions in direct operations.
  • To reduce emissions from value chain by 50%.
  • To switch to 100% renewable energy in direct operations.

Sustainability from Seed to Glass: Ensuring sustainability through design

  • To ensure zero waste in direct operations and supply chain. 
  • To replace our packaging methods with a 100% renewable (reusable, compostable, recyclable) method. 
  • To reduce overall packaging and introduce renewable material into our packaging processes (reduction of packaging weight by 10% and use of 60% recycled content for packaging). 
  • To make plastic materials 100% reusable and compostable by 2025. To increase the use of recycled materials for plastics to 40% by 2025 and to 100% by 2030. 
  • To provide trainings on agriculture and agricultural resources, as well as affordable construction and environmental resilience, to the entire community of local suppliers (150,000 farmers). 
  • To develop reinvigorating and refreshing pilot agricultural programs at 5 points.
