Mey continues its operations with a total of 9 factories, producing raki in Tekirdağ and Nevşehir, suma (distilled raki) in Alaşehir and Tarsus, alcohol in Karaman, votka, gin and liqueur in Bilecik, also operating an aniseed processing facility in Acıpayam, and wine production facilities at Elazığ and Şarköy.
Established in 1966 as a manufacturing workshop, the Şarköy Wine Production Facility was reconstructed in 1996 in order to produce wine from more varieties of grapes. The Şarköy Wine Factory's capacity, infrastructure and bottling assembly lines that use the latest technologies are accompanied by a wine cellar that houses 1200 vats.
Established in 1931 to produce wine, the Tekirdağ Alcoholic Drinks Factory started producing raki in 1967. Besides producing raki, our factory also produces suma (distilled raki).
The Alaşehir Suma Factory started production in 1995. With its modern production technologies, infrastructure, and treatment plants, the factory still continues today to produce suma from fresh and dried grapes. The suma produced at our factory is delivered to the Tekirdağ and Nevşehir Alcoholic Drinks Factories.
The Acıpayam Aniseed Processing Facility was founded in 2003 to mechanically process raw aniseed to use in the production of raki. The factory delivers the processed aniseed to the Tekirdağ and Nevşehir alcoholic drinks factories for their raki production.
The Bilecik Alcoholic Drinks Factory started its production in 2000 after integration with the Istanbul Liqueur and Gin Factory's Bilecik operations.
The Karaman Alcoholic Drinks Factory was established first as a wine bar in 1944. It continued to function as a factory in 1974, completing its suma facilities in 1996 to start on the production of suma. In 2006 the factory terminated its suma production to start the manufacture of agriculturally-based ethyl alcohol.
The Nevşehir Alcoholic Drinks Factory was completed in 1992, and started its operations that same year. Besides producing raki, the factory also produces suma (distilled raki) from fresh and dried grapes.
The Elazığ Wine Production Facility in 1942 was a small workshop that evolved into an important facility in 1944. Only red wine is produced at this factory, which has an impressive wine cellar that stores special wines in a 700-vat historically picturesque cellar.
Starting off in 2000 as a wine facility for suma, the Tarsus Suma Factory began the production of suma from fresh and dried grapes in 2005. The suma produced at our factory is delivered to the Tekirdağ and Nevşehir Alcoholic Drinks Factories.
