3 appointments at senior level at Mey|Diageo

Three important appointments at senior level have been made at Mey|Diageo

With the new appointments, the percentage of female employees has increased to 57% in the Mey|Diageo Leadership Team.

Three important appointments at senior level have been made at Mey|Diageo, which makes a difference through its innovative and trail-blazing HR practices. Tugba Barutcuoglu started to serve as the Director, Regulations and Legal; Deniz Keskin as the Senior Strategy & Transformation Manager, and Sanem Gunay as Senior Corporate Communications Manager. With the new appointments, the percentage of female employees has increased to 57% in the Mey|Diageo Leadership Team.

After graduating from the Faculty of Law of Istanbul University, Tugba Barutcuoglu had her master's degree in Economic Law at Galatasaray University. She started her career at Muhtaranlar & Associates. In 2009, she started to work at Mey | Diageo as Deputy Director, Regulations & Legal, and then as Legal & Compliance Counsel. She had significant contributions to Mey|Diageo with her experience in dark marketing, compliance and competition law, and played a critical role in ensuring full compliance of the company's activities, particularly sales, distribution and marketing practices, with the Code of Competition and Legislation on Alcoholic Beverages. Serving as the Director, Regulations and Legal, at Mey|Diageo since June 1, 2023, Tugba Barutcuoglu is going to take part in the leadership team, in charge of the regulations and legal.

After graduating from the Department of Economics of Koc University, Deniz Keskin started her career in the finance team of Unilever in 2008, and assumed the position of Finance Manager in different categories. Then, she served as the Category Finance Manager Responsible for North Africa, Middle East, Türkiye, Ukraine, Russia and Belarus at Unilever. Starting from 2014, she served as the Finance Business Partner at Glaxosmithkline for 1.5 years. In 2015, she was transferred to Philip Morris International, and after assuming different positions in business development, planning and strategy management, she finally took over international responsibilities in the position of Duty Free Business Planning Manager, and took the lead in strategic financial decisions and business planning in Europe, Eurasia and LAC regions.  Serving as Senior Strategy & Transformation Manager at Mey|Diageo since June 5, 2023, Deniz Keskin is going to take part in the leadership team, in charge of bringing strategic projects into life and improvement of systems and processes as part of these projects.

After graduating from the Department of Psychology of Koc University, Sanem Gunay had her MBA at Koc University. She started her career in the sales & distribution team of Mey|Diageo in 2004, and assumed the position of manager in different categories in the marketing department throughout her career. She served as the Marketing Manager of Raki Category from 2019 to 2023. During her service in the marketing team, she brought several trail-blazing strategic projects into life. She also took part in repositioning of critical brands through close follow-up of market dynamics and global trends. During her recent position, she played a major part in helping the flagship brand of the company record its highest engagement rate ever. Serving as Senior Corporate Communications Manager at Mey|Diageo since July 1, 2023, Sanem Gunay is responsible for the corporate communication functions of the company and takes the lead in the development and actualization of relevant strategies.
