About Bergama Theater Festival

Bergama Theater Festival is an innovative history, culture and city festival held by 3dots and BERaBER, which was initiated in 2018, and it is inspired by the historical and organic bond between Berlin and Pergamon, which was established upon delivery of the Zeus Altar to Berlin. Set out with a dream to provide space for constructive discussions, Bergama Theater Festival also makes efforts towards creating a special experience space with the rich historical texture and deep-rooted theater tradition of Bergama.

Bergama Theater Festival intends to ensure that Bergama is a place of meeting and sharing for cultural policies and theater, both across the region and the country, with local and international works included in its program selection, and with the joint projects it develops and the relationships it establishes.

With the program it has created with a focus on the reflections of the bond between Bergama and Berlin on artistic production, Bergama Theater Festival made a return to become a sustainable, sharing and transforming festival, in 2021, after a hiatus of 2 years starting from 2018, the first time it met with its audience and Bergama.
